【导读】初中英语说课稿:Unit 1 Friends 。

Unit 1 Friends

This chapter is about is "Friends" ,which is from《Oxford English》(8A) .This period is the grammar teaching ,students will learn the Comparative forms and Superlative forms of the adjectives , students have grasped some adjectives before this period ,these words Just can be applied to this section ,this period is a connecting link between the preceding and the following, it is very important in the book and the whole stage .

The students have a certain basic English ability , But some of don't have a good habits ,and lost interest in learning English, so the game, competition can make them  participate in classroom activities actively. In class ,I mainly pays attention to the cultivation of students' interest in English study, encourage them to speak, actively participate in activities.

According to the new curriculum standard ,I set up the teaching aims,they are following:

Knowledge aim:students will remember some words and key sentence pattern.

Ability aim : students will Master the usage of comparative and superlative degrees of adjective

Emotion aim : students will learn to do a honest, polite and helpful friend .

The key points and difficult points are :students use comparatives and superlatives to compare two people/ things correctly .

I will adopt task-based language approach in my class , let them have destination for learning activity, can arouse students' enthusiasm, improve the learning interest of the students.

Students will learn by individual activities and group activities.through thinking, communication and cooperation, they study and use English, complete the task.

Teaching procedures

Step 1 Warming-up

I present the TV programs segments ,exciting basketball game, famous singer's concert, the purpose is rendering classroom atmosphere, creating English learning atmosphere.

Step 2 Leading in

I lead to the new lesson with the help of a guessing game ,let the students read the description and guess who he/she is.and tell students that we use adjectives to describe people and things.

Step 3 presentation

Present some linking verbs and tell them that we can put an adjective before a noun or after a linking verb.Present the examples and invite students to think of more examples.

Task 1 Students will describe the people who they are interested in . This task can improve enthusiasm ,apply the English knowledge into practice .Show the pictures of Liu Xiang/Zhou Jielun and ask students to describe them with adjectives.then ask the students talk to their pairs .

Task 2 Competition

Ask students to think out as many adjectives as they can to describe one of their classmates in groups ,then have a competition,students describe one of their classmates and guess who they are.this design can review and reinforce knowledge in this section .arouse the learning interest and improve students' sense of competition.

After the competition ,I present six groups of pictures and ask students to complete the sentences.then ask students to compare the things and the people  in each picture.the purpose is lead to adjectives Comparative forms such as "Yao Ming is taller than Liu Xiang.when looking at the pictures ,students 'emotion rose immediately.I will let them compare the picture of xiaoshengyang and liyong Mary and yaoming .

Task 2 Let students comparative forms Superlative forms and discuss how to form the compulatives and superlatives of adjectives.in groups,students observe the words and generalize the rules,cultivate students' innovative spirit.

Step 4 Practise

Task 3 complete the exercises ,and check the answer.then watch a flash and find irregular forms.

Task 4 Ask students to describe their own objects or classmates using comparatives and superlatives in groups and guess who they are.

students talk about the people and things around himself ,which can improve students' speaking ability. Through team cooperation , the students consolidated the knowledge in pleasant atmosphere , all classmates  participate enthusiastically, as long as stimulate their interest, arouse their enthusiasm, they will finish the task .

Step 5 Summary

Let students discuss and find out the rules. the students can build their confidence, cultivate the spirit of cooperation.

After that ,Read the rhyme<Good,better,best > consolidate the knowledge , arouse the students interest.

Ask some questions ,students can revise the knowledge in the class .such as  When to use positives?When to use comparatives? When to use superlatives?

Step 6 Homework

Use three forms of adjectives to write about changes in your hometown. I will give them some words ,the purpose is expanding the grammar and use it in writing .

I write some key words and sentences on the blackboard .
