一、教学过程

Good afternoon, distinguished judges. I’m No. X candidate, applying for middle school English teacher. My topic is What’s the matter. Now I’m ready.

Step 1-2. Warm-up and Lead-in

T: Class begins! Good morning boys and girls, welcome to my English class. How are you feeling today? Good. I am fine too. It’s very nice to meet you again. Today, before our class, let’s sing a song together. How about “We are the world”?

S: Yes!

T: I think you like it! OK, let’s begin.

“We are the world, we are the children.

We are the ones who make a brighter day so let’s start giving.

There’s a choice we’re making we’re saving our own lives.

S: Yes!

T: OK! Very good! And do you know what the song talks about? Any volunteers? Eric, please have a try!

S: The song talks about that we should help others.

T: Do you agree with him? Yes, very good! When someone is in trouble, we should help others, right? Ok, and now, let’s do a free talk. I will divide you into groups. Four students are in a group. Please say something about your health problems. After that, other group members should give advice. I will give you several minutes to talk about it. After that, please show us your conversation.
